Susan Sarandon, the queen of ping pong and co-owner of SPiN, told VH1 she is making a movie called “Ping-Pong Summer” which takes place in the 80s.

Sarandon said the movie could begin shooting in September 2012, and is like “The Karate Kid with ping-pong.” In an interview, Sarandon noted the movie would be “sweet” and “would have to be done where people play, not like, farcical….People who play ping-pong are so weird and fabulous.”
