Andy Murray’s Ping Pong Comeback

Posted on by TableTennisNation

Andy Murray came off his semifinal French Open defeat to win it all this past weekend on grass at the Aegon Championships by defeating Jo-Wilfred Tsonga on grass in 3 sets.

But what fueled Murray? How about his loss to Tsonga during the rain delay for the finals on Sunday.

We know that tennis players have a long table tennis history and that ping pong is the sport of rain delays, but this is the first we’ve heard of a ping pong match being the catalyst for a player in the finals. (Check out the video of them playing on ESPN UK)
