Posted on by TableTennisNation

Today is the first day of the MLB season and we figured we’d bring you all the stories about baseball and ping pong going around right now:

  • The Tampa Bay Rays have become entrenched in the Floridian ping pong community
  • From USA Today: “Left fielder Ryan Braun spent his winter playing ping-pong in Malibu, Calif., with neighbor and former NBA star Reggie Miller. Braun says he lost every game. Then again, retired tennis star John McEnroe is the only one to have beaten Miller.”
  • JJ Hardy’s brother and ping pong help keep him grounded
  • Barry Bonds’ ping pong balls were shrunken and disfigured
  • College baseball: the Oklahoma Sooners are giving away a ping pong table to a lucky student in attendance this weekend
